We spent two nights here in February and absolutely loved it! Although its an intimate property with only six rooms, they are incredibly large, comfortable, and well-equipped with en-suite facilities and coffee/tea supplies. The dining experience was a highlight; the hosts serve delicious, home-cooked breakfast and dinner right in the house. Don't miss a tour of their private spice garden, where the owner provides a fascinating insight into how spices are produced. It is a highly recommended stay set in beautiful, peaceful surroundingssitting on the terrace listening to the birds was pure bliss.

Based on the current 4.6 rating it seems some guests had a better experience than we did. The host is a kind man who gave an interesting tour of his spice farm, on which the homestay is located. The room is spacious but internet was intermittent at best. There was no hot water in the bathroom sink, no shampoo, and the towels were as rough / coarse as any seen in a very long time. Breakfast was minimalist and uninspiring (eg, cold white toast).

Our room was spacious, exceptionally clean, and decorated with excellent taste, blending traditional charm with modern comfort. It truly felt like a luxurious home away from home.A highlight was undoubtedly the spice garden on the property. We spent a wonderful morning browsing the lush grounds and learning about various spicesa fantastic, fragrant, and educational experience right outside our door.Finally, the food was spectacular. The meals served had incredible taste and offered authentic, freshly prepared local cuisine. It was easily some of the best food we had during our entire trip.We highly recommend Pepper County Homestay for an unforgettable experience in Thekkady. Spent a wonderful day and night at this beautiful Homestay. My Cyriac was a fantastic host and the accommodation was superb. The highlight was the walk with Mr Cyriac around his extensive spice garden.

The time had with my mother and sister was truly magical. Syril the owner made us feel very welcome. His tour of his plantation will be one of the highlights of the entire trip. Clean, attentive and memorable stay.
