Misty green and our hosts that own it were exceptional, above and beyond accommodating. The location couldn't be better, right in front of the Periyar Tiger Reserve entrance gates and a short walk to many wonderful shops, restaurants, chai spots, and even a supermarket. The hosts are well-acquainted with the local business people and tour operators and booked both our bamboo rafting tour as well as arranged a last minute rescue elephant experience the day we left. The hosts gave us a ride to both bookings. The windows in the room had intact screens on them, which was something we hadn't had at any previous location, so even though there was AC, we didn't need it. The room was clean, and had a shair d porch area with ample seating and lighting. The hostess has a beautiful garden and a small collection of birds downstairs which greeted us as we came and went. Highly recommend this homestay if your considering a trip to Periyar Tiger Preserve.

The most wonderful Homestay run by an incredibly warming couple. Felix and his wife greeted us with the warmest welcome and made sure we were looked after during our stay. The homemade breakfast was probably the best breakfast I had in Kerala. So fresh and delicious! The location was superb, short walk from the main down and the National Park. Rooms were spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Will definitely be staying again.

Beautiful homestay with misty mornings and a cozy vibe. It truly feels like a second home with its homely atmosphere and warm hospitality. Fresh, tasty food and a peaceful environment make it the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature. Highly recommended for a calm and refreshing getaway.

We stayed at Misty Green Homestay, Thekkady for two nights in December 2025 and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very well maintained, making our stay comfortable and relaxing. The breakfast was deliciousfresh idly and vada served with excellent accompaniments, along with premium-quality tea that really stood out. The garden area is beautifully maintained and adds a peaceful charm to the property. The location is another big plus, as it is convenient yet calm and surrounded by greenery. We had booked the homestay well in advance and got a great deal, which made the experience even better. Overall, Misty Green Homestay offers great value, comfort, and hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Thekkady and looking for a pleasant and peaceful stay.

A sweet homestay run by a lovely couple! My husband and I stayed there while visiting Kumily and had the best experience. The homestay owners were very considerate and flexible throughout our stay, and they also provided delicious and healthy breakfasts each morning. The location is very convenient as the shuttle buses to the tiger reserve leave from right next to it. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Kumily!
