I recently stayed at this resort for two nights, and it was a thoroughly pleasant experience from start to finish. The weather during my stay was absolutely amazing, creating the perfect atmosphere to relax and unwind. One of the highlights was definitely the food every meal was fantastic, with great variety and quality that exceeded expectations. I also had the chance to go on a trek organized by the resort, which turned out to be a wonderful experience. The surroundings were beautiful, and the trek was both refreshing and enjoyable. What truly stood out, though, was the staff. They were incredibly helpful, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile, which made the stay even more comfortable. Overall, it was a memorable and relaxing getaway, and I would gladly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a peaceful escape with great hospitality.

We stayed at this beautiful property with our entire family of 14, and overall it was a very pleasant experience. The location is calm, quiet, and very privateperfect for a large family getaway. The house has a charming old architectural style with stone walls on the exterior, which adds a lot of character to the place. All rooms have attached bathrooms with individual water heaters. One water heater was not functioning during our stay, but this was acknowledged by the owner and assured to be fixed. The cupboards in the rooms could use some maintenance in the near future, and the owner has already confirmed that this is planned. The service truly stood out. The chef and helpers were exceptional and very supportive throughout our stay. They live on the same premises (outside the main building), which made coordination easy. The Kerala-style food was very tasty and homely. We could place food orders in advance as per our preference. Breakfast was included in the package, while lunch and dinner were available at an additional cost. The food is slightly expensive compared to outside options, so its advisable to check prices with the owner beforehand to avoid any surprises. Overall, it was a great stay with excellent service and a wonderful location. Highly recommended for large families looking for peace, privacy, and a traditional experience.

My stay at Cassells Resort, Wandiperiyar was truly memorablea perfect blend of comfort, adventure, and nature. Located about 4 km from Wandiperiyar town, the resort is beautifully tucked away in the hills, offering a sense of calm and exclusivity right from the start. What makes the experience exceptional is what comes after you reach the resort. An exclusive 2 km off-road Jeep drive, arranged by the resort, takes you further uphill across rugged terrain where only a Jeep can survive. The drive feels raw, thrilling, and scenic, creating a genuine sense of escape from the outside world. The December climate was outstanding, with temperatures hovering around 15C. Cool air, misty surroundings, and lush greenery combined to create a serene, almost cinematic atmosphere that defines natural luxury. The food and service were excellentthoughtfully prepared meals and warm, attentive hospitality made the stay even more special. It was an amazing experience for our entire family, including my brother, cousins, and uncle. Casells Resort isnt just a place to stay; its a shared family memory set in the hills.

I had a very bad experience at Cassells Resort. The room provided was in poor condition not clean, poorly maintained, and far below the standard promised. We had to wait more than an hour just to get our room, with no proper communication or apology from the staff. When we tried to discuss the issue, the owner gave no proper response or support. Overall, the service was unprofessional and the management seemed careless. I do not recommend this resort and hope they take guest feedback seriously to improve in the future.

The property is located in a beautiful place and scenic views. We enjoyed staying surrounded by the spice plantation, waking up to the sound of birds, hiking to see the sunset, learning about cardamom, pepper, and coffee and tea plants. The caretakers are warm and nice, and cooked yummy food and made chai on demand. They also guided us about what activities to do and avoid, showing us around the property, arranging for the jeep and making sure each day we were taken care of. We also appreciated having the whole section of the house for ourselves and being able to decorate a tree for Christmas. We had a memorable relaxing fun time! The day we came all the bedsheets were torn in each room. The new sheets that were put had some stain and the towels and comforter covers all had wear. We requested them to be changed and they were promptly done the next day. I would recommend replacing them all and using proper bleach etc to clean them. There were insects (slugs, centipede, etc) in two of the restrooms. These are common in a place surrounded by so much nature, but it would be better to check for these and use some insect treatment before guests arrive. All the extra linen is kept in a cupboard in the outside room. The caretakers go in and out of the space anytime. Some guests might find this odd and invasion of privacy. We would have preferred for extra linen to be stored elsewhere. We were woken up at 6:00 am for them to get towels for other guests who stayed next door. It would be good to add a door in the middle so we could have privacy and not have to worry about the caretakers coming in anytime unannounced. Also WiFi is only available in the dining area for some reason. Id recommend adding stronger WiFi that covers the entire property as cell phone coverage is scanty inside the rooms.
