Wonderful Homestay experience! Our hosts and their daughter were so warm and welcoming. They clearly love what they do. The central location is walking distance to the National Park ticket office, shops and restaurants, and the dance and martial arts center. Our hosts had so many recommendations for fun things to do, and then they helped us with arrangements. Bincy is a fabulous cook. She taught me how to make what she called banana coconut pancakes. I plan to make them for my daughter!

Wonderful Stay at Periyar Inn Homestay in Thekkady I stayed at Periyar Inn Homestay in Thekkady on November 3rd, and it was an incredible experience. Although I didn’t catch the names of our hosts, they welcomed us warmly and made us feel at home right away. The house was beautiful, surrounded by lush plants, and it was impeccably maintained. Located in a calm area in the heart of the city, it was both peaceful and conveniently situated. The family also had two friendly cats and a dog, which added a lovely, homely touch. The entire place was clean and comfortable, and we really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. In the morning, we were treated to an amazing breakfast along with hot coffee, which was the perfect start to the day. I highly recommend Periyar Inn to anyone visiting Thekkady. It offers a fantastic experience at a very reasonable cost. Thank you to our hosts for making our stay so memorable!

Our family loved the Periyar Inn! The rooms were clean and lovingly decorated. The greenery and potted plants around the terrace made for a beautiful atmosphere and wonderful spot to relax and enjoy the yummy breakfasts. The entire family were super friendly, very open and great to talk to. We were well taken care of and felt like home. Thank you very much! Ula, Chris and Daisy

The Periyar Inn was our first experience with a home stay and pretty high benchmarks have been set for home stays in our mind. At the outset the greenery all around the house and in the rooms gives a serene ambience. That coupled with the service on offer by the ever smiling hosts...you end up feeling at home almost immediately. For us if we ever visit Thekkady again (which we definitely will) the stay option is sorted. We went in being apprehensive about home stays and came out with life long friends!!!

Great place to stay. The hosts are super friendly and open to help with hints and recommendations. The room was super clean and nicely decorated. I had a nice local breakfast with them with good talks. Go there! Book the boat trip in national park in advance !! Especially in high season.
