Excellent homestay in Kumily :) The location of the homestay is in a quiet area in Kumily, there is a beautiful jungel view. Its so relaxing to hear the birds in the morning. The room is big, the shower and toilet was also in 1 big room. The bed was bid also and the matress was great, comfortabel- i had a great night sleep. Clean homestay, the food was so tasty, fresh, one of the best local food i had so far in Kerala. The owner is very kind, welcoming, helpfull.

Airbnb (07-08 Jan 26). The host, Mrs. Bincy and Mr Jobin are very warm and helpful people. We also interacted with their lovely daughter. Really good home stay experience. Mrs. Bincy prepared good Kerala cuisine breakfast for us. The room was perfect and clean with all amenities required. The host facilitated booking of the tickets for the Kathakali and Kalaripayatu shows. The homestay is ideally located near the Periyar forest reserve and good restaurants - at walking distance. Special thanks to the host couple and their family for making our stay so comfortable and friendly. I highly recommend this place.

Really kind and generous family who have been so welcoming. Breakfast and evening meals are delicious traditional Kerala food. The evening meals are like a little banquet with several different dishes to try. Approx 5 minute walk to main bus station and approx 10 minute walk to periyar tiger park entrance. On a quite road less than five minute walk away from the hustle and bustle of Kumily. The family helped me plan my route to my next stop and recommended which bus I should take. Bedrooms are a good size, modern ensuite and comfortable beds. I would definitely choose to stay again.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this homestay! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with a hot cup of coffee that instantly made me feel at home. The hosts were incredibly thoughtfulhelping with laundry, providing a hair dryer, and even offering a glass of cold milk when I mentioned I had acidity. They went above and beyond by booking Kathakali tickets for me and recommending a great local spice market. The authentic Kerala breakfast they served every morning was delicious and made with so much love. What truly sets this place apart is their kindnessalways smiling, always ready to help, and genuinely caring about their guests comfort. I felt more like I was staying with family than at a property. Highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting the area. I would definitely come back!

Lovely stay at Periyar Inn, Thekkady We stayed at Periyar Inn, Thekkady for just one night, but it was a very good and memorable experience. The hosts were extremely welcoming, kind, and helpful. The rooms were clean, tidy, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The breakfast included with the stay was delicious, homemade, and absolutely worth it. Even though our stay was short, the hospitality truly stood out. One special mention: we had to visit Periyar National Park early in the morning, but our cab did not arrive on time. Seeing our situation, the hosts personally drove us to the park (just about 5 minutes away) and guided us on where to buy tickets and where to board the bus. Their help made our morning completely stress-free. Overall, my experience was truly exceptional. The people, hospitality, and care were outstanding. I would definitely recommend Periyar Inn to anyone visiting Thekkady.
