I would rate 0 out of 10, because yesterday i had gone there with my family for enquiring regarding stay and food. My mother has a physical disability and she cannot walk without support. I drove the car, I dropped my family near the reception and went on to park the car. While trying to park, a man from the reception came and shooed us away, telling " outsiders are not allowed,, no you people should not step down towards reception" [ps: there is a small staircase to walk down towards the reception] Seeing that first impression, my family (including my mom) got offended badly we decided to move away and go to another resort. PS:their entrance gate was open, there was no security guard there, there were no sign board regarding "outsiders are not allowed" or "entry only for already booked persons" or so. Even when they saw my family stepping out of my car, that man didnt approach us, and he came only when my fam decided to step down towards reception. They said that restaurant was only for the inmates. Such a worst behaviour. I would never recommend this "3-star hotel" [as mentioned in google] for any anybody. Just imagine travelling all the off road way upthere just to get shooed away Only later this incident happened i came to read the resort reviews and saw many others with similar reviews like me. I have visited many other resorts, but they were all friendly. Either you resort guys must keep a guard, put sign boards or notice boards at the entrance itself, if not you guys must stop shooing away guests while they come. This is not the first resort we visited. If you resort guys dont do the needful no body would come the second time to ur "3 star hotel" Rating: 0 on 10 , THE WORST STAFF EVER.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at kananam retreat. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to ensure our comfort. The rooms were spacious, immaculately clean, and offered a beautiful view of the hills and green waves. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the housekeeping team did a fantastic job.

Loved the stay at Kananam. Manager Mr Jacob was pleasantly polite with a customer service orientation. Very calm and serene ambience even in a busy weekend. Could have more options for food /menu, but it is not a major setback -- there is food and the service is good.

Wonderful experience. Wortgy for the money. We had a group visit including kids on 26th December 2025. Food and service was great. Ambience was outstanding. Manager Mr. Jacob was very friendly and a gentleman. We enjoyed the stay with campfire, special Christmas games, and a white forest cake for the whole group of 30 members. We had a wonderful time at KANANAM
