It was a wonderful experience to stay at this hotel. It was near to the periyar tiger reserve. Hardly 10mins walking distance from ticket counter. And also very near to spice & handloom market. When we arrived beforehand, room was ready. Room was very spacious, worth of every rupee. Super clean with nice view of jungle. Breakfast was also good in the morning. I will recommend to include breakfast in stay as it was home cooked food. In the end, hospitality of Mr. Rajesh was super. Everything was on time. We asked for breakfast at 7:45am & it was ready exactly at that time. Overall experience was superb. I will recommend this homestay whoever is coming to Thekkady.

The homestay amenities are excellent. The rooms are very spacious, and cleanliness is well maintained. The owner is very cooperative and caring, and the food is excellent in taste. We spent one wonderful day at this homestay and had a very comfortable stay. The main attraction of the homestay is the beautiful view and the thoughtful hospitality provided by the hosts.

Rooms: The rooms were really spacious and very tidy. We were surprised to see how clean they were, even though they were very close to the green space. They even have a dormitory style room for drivers to stay. Service: Rajesh and his family are running this homestay and they were very helpful. We had opted for breakfast every day of the stay and they served fresh, hot breakfast based on the timing that we requested, with no delays. This really helped us keep up with our sight seeing plans. Location: This place is located very close to the Thekkady check post, beyond which is the Periyar National Park. It is also surrounded by restaurants, making it really easy to move around and check things off of our list. We had hired an acting driver to drive our vehicle to Thekkady. On the night before returning back, our driver was intoxicated and had bumped his head somewhere, resulting in a deep cut and ended up losing a lot of blood over the night, creating a lot of mess in the dormitory room. Rajesh helped us take him to the hospital, stayed with us till he was discharged and helped us bring him back to the home stay. Since it was the last day of our trip, we already had plans to be somewhere else and the driver was in no state to travel with us. On our request, Rajesh graciously took care of the driver the whole day, giving him food and medicines, till he regained his consciousness and then helped him get on to a bus back home in the evening, all the while sending us pictures and updates. He was more concerned that the driver should reach home safe, as he didn't want anyone that had come to stay at his place, to not return home safe. Rajesh is a great host and a very nice human being. Needless to say, for all our future visits to Thekkady, we will be staying at Jungle Palace Home Stay. We will also make sure our friends and family know about this great place, Rajesh and his family.

The stay was conveniently located near the entrance of the Periyar Tiger Reserve. The room was clean, spacious, and came with a lovely balcony. The owner was extremely helpful and ensured that all our needs were taken care of. He also guided us to nearby food options located just a few metres away. In addition, they helped us spot animals at night using their powerful torches. Overall, it was a truly memorable stay, and my family and I enjoyed every moment.

Pleasant stay and fill like home only. Surrounding area is very nice and restaurant also nearby. Easy transportation access. Owner of home stay is very kind and helpful. He arrange auto for us at early morning whenever no one is ready to come. Thankful for his kindness.
