Stayed here for 2 nights as a couple and really enjoyed our time. The best part of this property is definitely the location. It's right in front of the lake, so the views are beautiful and the whole place feels very peaceful. The room was clean and comfortable. One thing to keep in mind is that there aren't many vegetarian food options nearby, but the restaurant inside the hotel serves good food, so we mostly ate there. A special thanks to Jaimin, who really made our stay memorable. He took us on a walk through the property's own spice, fruit, and vegetable plantation, explained everything along the way, and even offered us fresh fruits. He was genuinely helpful and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. Overall, we had a great experience. If you're looking for a quiet place to relax by the lake, this is definitely worth considering.

Good resort to stay in kumarakom. The interesting part is they prepare food for the guests using products from their own farm. It is indeed located close by the back waters and the views were amazing particularly our visit during the peak monsoon. Kids got engaged with activities like fishing, indoor games, etc. I appreciate the service of all the staffs. Highly recommended place for a peaceful and scenic visit particularly for the nature lovers.

We had a wonderful two-day stay at Illikkalam Lakeside Cottage, Kumarakom. The cottages were very neat, well-maintained, and perfect for a family stay, offering a calm and comfortable atmosphere. The lakeside view is absolutely beautifulwaking up to the serene water and peaceful surroundings was truly refreshing and relaxing. Its an ideal place to unwind and enjoy nature. The food was another highlight of our stay. The quality was excellent, with delicious homely meals prepared with great care. It was really nice to know that many of the vegetables used were freshly grown within the premises, which added to the authenticity and taste. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended for families and anyone looking for a peaceful lakeside getaway!

Best place to stay with family, friends, or as a couple. The view was fantastic, and the staff along with their services were excellent. All staff members were very friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. The food was also delicious. They even provide contact details for everything needed for a comfortable stay, including cabs, auto-rickshaws, boats, houseboats, emergency services, and more. Highly recommended for a relaxing and hassle-free experience

Illikkalam lakeside cottages is a peaceful & budget friendly stay option . Rooms were very clean , service was efficient. Staff is super polite & helpful & go out of their way to provide you with things that you need. As a North Indian travelling to Kerala for the first time , the stay felt welcoming. Food is basic but tasty . The main point of attraction is the view of the property, this is on the Wembanad lake & you can just sit outside your cottage & enjoy the view with coffee/tea 24*7. Akhil is super helpful . Would love to visit again.
