Worst experience ever! Please DO NOT choose this place if you’re planning on a peaceful holiday! IRRESPONSIBLE CARETAKERS! NO proper water supply! Muddy water in the pipes in the morning! No proper WIFI connection! Water leakage from the roof! RUDE BEHAVIOR BY THE CARETAKERS! Our holidays were simply spoiled by these people!

Booked this for a group of three families. It is spacious and well maintained. They enjoyed the stay very much. Located on a main road. less than 10 km to kumily-Thekkady. Sorrounded by cardamom plantation with lots of veriturs of flora. You can have a camp fire if you like. Firewood can be collected from the plantation itself. it would be fun. The kitchen is equipped with whatever you need in it.

Stay was very pleasant and Akhil(caretaker) was very helpful in getting whatever we asked for and treated us really well with his hospitality. Availability of hotwater in all bathrooms was a problem, as one of the bathrooms did not have hotwater provision. Also toilet flush was not working in one of the toilets. Bedsheets and towels need to be better. Please reconsider your option if you’re traveling with family(we were 7 of us with 2 teens and a toddler) as we spotted a rat in the kitchen cupboard and the bottom of couple of plates were moldy.

We had a fantastic stay at Raiyaan's High Range Hideout after a tiring 3-day trek through Periyar national park. The bungalow is nestled in the hills surrounding Kumily and is easily reachable by road. The property itself is beautifully maintained, with all modern amenities and the check-in process was flawless! I would definitely visit again if I am ever in Kumily!

Excellent place well maintained, nice caretaker. Good villa for friends and family. Very well maintained villa.slightly off-site from town but worth it.
