Super cozy hideout right next to the Tiger Reserve, with many kinds of rooms and an inner garden with a traditional feeling. The complex has many rooms and is recently constructed in an elegant style, with spacious balconies. The units are comfortable for Europeans too with clean rooms, big towels, toilet paper, and very warm blankets. The place is so close to the forest, I could smell the freshness in the air. Friendly host and staff takes care of all needs.

I stayed here with my family for 1 night. We had 2 rooms but 1 was much worse than the other. It had mold on walls, strong damp smell and even the bedsheets and towels were not new. We arrived late at the "cottage" and couldn't ask for much. But we were supposedly upgraded and even then the rooms did not have soap, toilet paper, hot water (1 room only), kettle or tea. The only advantage here is its proximity to the bus stop that takes you to the boat ride. You've been warned. Stay at your own risk.

Good place to stay in Thekkady. Rooms are nice and clean, Service was great. Owner Uncle Joe resides besides the property and make sure to meet and take care of each guests requirements. Breakfast is complementary and made by owner Uncle Joe and his wife, They also make sure to check for any specific requirement of guests, We were travelling with our 9 months old baby and had requirement of warm water to prepare her meals which they provided even when there was no kettle in rooms. Uncle Joe is definitely one of the best owners we have met in our life and his hospitality will win hearts there were tourists from abroad as well staying at the property and they also appreciated the efforts of him to make their stay comfortable. Breakfast was good too in taste as it is homely prepared food and one of the best idlis we had in Kerala.

Traditional stay experience, nothing fancy. If you are coming from 3* or more type of hotel, you will not like here. Major slow service issue. Breakfast served was cold with limited options. When complained, we were told there was renovation going.. Booked Jungle view rooms and paid more, but could not see any jungle. "Disappointed". Someone was grinding something in Mixer at 5:30 AM which we could hear in our room. There was good balcony outside with seating place. Owner is very helpful and listened all complaints with smiling face. If anything is required, you have to call him. Location is 5 mins walk to Periyar Bus booking counter. There are couple of Massage centres at walking distance and a spice market nearby.

A pleasant stay. Consistent hot water supply at all times and Home cooked lovely breakfast. Very close to the Lake and nearby shops.
