I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Ferndale Homestay, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The home was cozy, comfortable, and perfectly suited for a relaxing getaway. The highlight of our stay, however, was the outstanding hospitality provided by Mr. Dexter, the host. Not only did he make us feel incredibly welcome, but he also went above and beyond to help us when we faced an unexpected flat tire. He offered his assistance with a smile, effortlessly turning what could have been a stressful situation into a memorable example of his kindness and generosity. Mr. Dexter’s attentiveness and warm approach truly made us feel like family, not just guests. If you’re looking for a homestay that combines comfort, beautiful surroundings, and impeccable hospitality, Ferndale is the perfect choice.

It truly felt like home. The uncle and aunty were incredibly supportive and caring, always going above and beyond to assist us. The room, bathroom, bedsheets, and furniture were all spotless and well-maintained. They were polite and very kind. We went for a massage, and they knew about it, so when we returned, they thoughtfully turned up the geyser so we could fully enjoy hot water. This level of care is something you usually only experience at home. It was an amazing experience. Thank you, uncle and aunty!

My trip to Thekkady was very smooth and memorable with a single call to Dexter Sir. I got a reference from one of my friends channel and felt very comfortable talking to him and did not look for other hotels. He provided us with a full itinerary and supported a lot starting from our road trip from Alleppey, all famous attractions in Thekkady and trip towards Munnar! I would highly recommend reviewing your requirements with this property if you are planning via Thekkady. This is the best home away home we have witnessed. Thank you Sir!

We stayed here for two days with our kid. It was amazing location and excellent support and service by Mr. Dexter and family starting from finding the location, pic-up, ordering food, guiding sightseeing and advice on shops. Overall I highly recommend this place for a comfortable, peaceful and safe stay especially when travelling with family and young kids.

Location - a little bit far from the city Room - Big airy room, with jungle view from the window. Many uncommon birds seen in the big trees adjacent to the corridor. Beds - Big comfy beds with clean lilen and blanket. Toilet - Modern clean toilet. Cleanliness - Excellent. Service -  Beyond expected level. Got hot drinking water in a thermoflask in our room within 5 minutes. Arranged for the cars and jeep too . Cars pick up us from Alleppey and drop here. Jeep pick up and drop us to Gavi Forest. Again( open  hood ) pick up from Gavi and drop. Immediately transfer to the car and drop us at Munnar . Everything was arranged in TAT manner i.e. T= Timely, A= accurate , T= Totally. Both Mr. and Mrs. Fernandez are always smiling, very cordial, cooperative, supportive, kept continuous contact. The most fabulous attractive thing is a small library in the living area from where anyone can pick a book of his choice for reading. Food - Not available in the home stay. But they suggested us for for home delivery of food from Gokul veg restaurant of the market , which was very delicious. A perfect homely stay, strongly recommend for a peaceful vacation amidst the lush greenary and thousands of flowers.
