I only took the Biryani cooking class, so cannot speak to the accommodations or hosting at all. The cooking class itself was great, really thorough explanation and nice cooking demonstration and hands on experience! I was on my own, and the cooking class was in a bedroom with him - Not ideal for a woman traveling alone. I did not love that. I wish I had known this ahead of time - but I still felt safe, and had a nice time with nice instruction! I definitely feel I can make biryani again, so I easily give 5 stars despite the discomfort I felt at first.

The cooking workshop was wonderful. Fayrouz, the host, is a pleasant and courteous person with extensive knowledge that he gladly shares. After a long introductory chat, we cooked together, with lots of patience for all the questions that came up. We even prepared a vegetarian version during the workshop. We really enjoyed it a great addition to our visit to the city.

I spent 21 days at Adams wood house for Panchakarma treatment. The treatment given there is one hour of Yoga and one hour of ayurvedic treatment every day. I waited some time before giving my review to let the treatment work and I can tell some positive changes, so it worked somehow. Still I did not have the best experience, although I am sure some people can have it. My reason to do the Panchakarma was a very fragile state of mind, a diagnosed depression and the feeling of not being at peace with myself. The main thing Firoz told me over and over again was to be happy as if there was a button I could press inside of me. The treatments were good, I dont want to complain about those, sometimes they were done by Firoz and sometimes from two different ladies and I can say that especially Firoz has lots of knowledge. But still he was not able (or willing?) to give me specific advise according to helpful asanas, pranayama- or meditation-techniques about which I asked over and over again. Firoz answer was simply to do something I like, to relax more and to be happy. I was not happy with the Yoga sessions, they were simply not good (I am a regular practicionar and quite advanced) and I complained a lot. Firoz and I got into an argument and he told me I was stressing him out and he was not able to calm down. I was the one moving towards him, asking for a solution and he still said that it was all about my ego and that I knew everything better. This is not the way I want a host to act, I expect more professionality. In the end of the treatment he told me I have a negative aura- to me a statement like this means his treatment failed because I came there for healing which obviously did not happen if I left with such an aura. The place itself is okay. You should not expect a perfectly clean room, there were spiderwebs and dust. Its still kinda nice and if you prefer being in a city and to have the opportunity to do some activities beside the treatment, this location is a good go. But you should be aware of noise from the street during the day, of barking street dogs at night (and yes, they were barking EVERY night) and the chant from the surrounding mosques at 5.30am. So all in all I would say I simply did not match with Firoz and because of Adams wood house being a homestay there was no possibility to avoid each other. It was still a nice basic treatment, nothing fancy but definitely authentic, the price is okay and if you get along with Firoz you can probably learn a lot and have a great time.

The title tar service was very helpful. I was laid down on the floor the master did some magic that helped me relieve of the paid I was having on my right shoulder. I recommend as I had a good experience here. Also I took a full body massage from here which was also good. Charge was 1200 for the massage which was quite normal. It included a steam service was well which was not quite given at such rates. I appreciate the master who was very helpful and talked much about body postures and sitting, walking positions. Good job. Keep going. Authentic ayurvedic service
