Orange Villa Homestay is the ancestral farm of Vellara family belonging to the ancient Chetty family of Kerala. The farm is a wonderful place to enjoy a relaxed vacation away from the hum-drum of busy city life. Apart from the beautiful building standing on the farm, it has a number of unusual plants and trees. In fact, the name Orange villa has been derived from the famous Kudak Orange trees found on the farm.

Orange Villa is a beautiful and pocket-friendly homestay with a great view. The property is well maintained and peaceful. Breakfast options are limited, and the rooms are a bit compact, but overall its a lovely place to stay and good value for money.

I stayed with 6 of my friends, host gave wrong hopes and informed that he will serve starters till one day before check in But once we reached property he informed that it's not possible to prepare food. We had to commute out for lunch, dinner Rooms were mediocre, nothing fancy and to top it flush was not working, despite informing they did not care to fix Night he created a scene because few of my friends wanted to drink whisky, we literally stood out and had dinner. Most ridiculous thing was he wanted us to pay for tea which was served Total wreck and not worth it, save yourselves and pick any other place I can't give zero or negative review, only saving grace was breakfast

I visited this place in May 2025 with my friends. It was a very bad stay. The place though looks vintage n big in pics, the actual rooms are very small. Its 8x10 rooms . The biggest turn off was the host. He had promised us dinner , starters and camp fire. But didnt give us anything. He gave lame excuses and we had to eat outside. Host is rude and not hospitable. Spoilt our vacation. I would not suggest this place to anyone.

We stayed there for 2 nights and the stay was amazing. Good location surrounded by nature and the view was just awesome. The major reason for selecting this property was because of its accommodation capability and we were around 5 families with 20 people. Kids have got enough space to play in the courtyard. The rooms were very clean, very spacious, and had almost all the amenities giving it a home-like experience. The food was homely and delicious!. Hospitality at its best!. Host Praveen and his family are awesome! Overall experience was quite great and memorable!

We had booked 3 rooms 2 of which were small located in the main building. The other one in the new building is quite spacious. They have a beautiful house and a great collection of artefacts specially in the dining area. Their coffee plantation is good too and you can witness the staff picking and drying coffee beans. Place is close to Tholpetty reserve and about 9kms from Nagarhole Tiger Reserve, a must do. Inside the property one can hear a variety of birds throughout the day making it a memorable experience. The stay is owned by a family and they are very warm and hospitable. Akash was helpful in recommendations for local sightseeing and making our stay pleasant. They accomodated all our food requests since my elderly parents had some peculiar food priorities. The food quite delicious but you may want to tell them about spicy/hot preference. Non-veg food was quite delicious. Do tell your food options beforehand.
We would be more than happy to help you. Our team is 24/7 at your service to help you.
