Jeep Safari was ok ok. We saw only deers & peacocks. Better to visit this place in the morning hours rather than afternoon time. Little bit overpriced.

Important Information The noon safari starts between 3 to 3.30 PM. Person has to stand in queue at least by 12.30 PM to get the tickets. This is because only 15 jeeps are allowed for the Safari. The morning Safari starts at 7 AM, so please plan to reach the queue at least by 5 AM. Again only 15 jeeps are allowed for the morning Safari too. We were lucky enough to sight tiger during the evening Safari on the 24th Dec 24.

Got to see the tiger and some elephants running away besides the usual animals as deers or monkeys. Beautiful area nonetheless. Recommended to get there first hour in the morning, there is a bus from Mananthavady to Kutta leaving at 6:00 Guides were very friendly and worked hard for us to spot the animals. As a downside it is a bit expensive for foreigners, being over 4000 INR for two. No cash payment.

We had planned two drives here but were told to only other with one y our homestay owners as its better to go out first thing in the morning. We arrived before 7 am to get in the queue for the first jeep out so as to maximise the chance of seeing the elephants and large cats. We were just the two of us in the first jeep and the driver and guide were very helpful trying to spot the animals as they were experienced at knowing where to look. However there are constant jeeps doing the same route and quite close together so its important to be first out before the animals are disturbed. We saw bison, monkeys, eagles, lots of deer, and finally elephants in the distance but sadly no cats. It is very reasonable even though foreigners are charged more than indians, we paid 700 rupees for the two adults.Would recommend.

At the time this post the ticket cost would be : Adult: 150 Jeep : 85 + 815 (to be payed to the jeep driver) Parking fee : 20 Maximum person that jeep can accomodate is 7 The possibility of seeing wild animals entirely depend on luck. I felt really sleepy, so does others in my jeep.
