Loved the environment and hospitality at Spicy Jungle Hotel! It truly feels like a real mountain stay. The staff are very calm, polite, and helpful by nature. The rooms are also exceptionally clean and very spacious. The highlight of our trip was the night bonfire with musicthat was absolutely amazing! The morning breakfast was also very tasty and of good quality. Highly recommended for a visit; this is definitely the best place to stay in Munnar

First of all, the customer service was the worst. I've already made payment while booking the stay and I didn't even receive any calls or messages about the details or notification. They weren't even cared to check on their guests to ensure smooth arrival. The reason I'm saying that is the road to the resort was downhill and it was totally damaged so normal cars can't go through that road, only off-road vehicles can. I even tried calling the resort multiple times through the number in the booking and also in the sms that they've sent. No response. I had to walk in that slippery mud with the luggage just to hear "Oh, we should've called. That was our mistake". What an irresponsible customer service. And that poor service didn't stop there, they said there'll be a jeep service to go uphill to reach the main road until 10pm but when I called at 9:45pm; they said there is some issue with the jeep and can't take us to the main road. We were hungry and they even stopped taking food orders, that's why we asked them to drop us on the main road. We slept hungry that night. Great way to torture the guests. Good job, Maat Hotels

Great stay with wonderful staffs. They have everything you need. All you just need to talk someone. Environment is really peaceful and we just enjoyed a lot here. Keep uu the good work. Best wishes.

Stayed/visited on 4th, 5th, and 6th June. Very poor experience. The road leading to the hotel is completely off-road, making it difficult to access and raising concerns about vehicle damage. There is no proper accommodation for drivers and not even a basic restroom facility. We were asked to use the staff restroom, which was in very poor condition. Even the guests expressed dissatisfaction with the room quality. While customers may book based on online photos and reviews, driver safety and proper rest are equally important, especially during 2-night/3-day trips. A well-rested driver is essential for safe travel. When we raised concerns, the hotel management informed us that vehicle safety was at our own risk. I kindly request customers to check parking facilities, driver accommodation, and room quality before booking. The management should pay more attention to these issues. If proper facilities and safety measures are provided, we would be happy to bring more customers in the future.

Pathetic Service and Misleading Information Food Issues: They told us only Buffet is available, which costs 400 per head. We couldn't even get a cup of tea in the morning. For a simple tea, we had to travel 1 km back to the main road. Misleading Road Info: I called ahead, and they lied about the road conditions. The road is broken and dangerous. My car tires were smoking while climbing back up. Poor Room Quality: The rooms were moldy and smelled damp. Their only solution was a cheap room freshener. The entire property is poorly maintained. Hidden Fees: Despite providing child details during booking, they demanded extra payment at check-in. This seems to be a regular practice there. Avoid this place if you want a peaceful vacation.
