I recently stayed at Spice Jungle Resort for two days, and it was a truly wonderful experience from start to finish. The location is beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery and peaceful views that instantly help you relax. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well maintained. Every small detail showed the care and effort the team puts into making guests feel at home. A special mention to Bibin Babu, the receptionist, who welcomed us with a warm smile and made the check-in process smooth and easy. He was always ready to help with any questions and made sure our stay was comfortable throughout. The restaurant team also deserves high appreciation, especially Ajith. The food was delicious, fresh, and served with genuine hospitality. Ajith was attentive, polite, and ensured we had everything we needed. The entire restaurant staff created a wonderful dining experience. Overall, it was a relaxing and memorable stay. The hospitality, service, and peaceful atmosphere make this resort a perfect getaway. I would highly recommend Spice Jungle Resort to anyone looking for comfort, nature, and excellent service. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

The rooms were dirty, there was a strong sewage smell throughout the hotel, nothing felt premium, and only a few of the staff spoke any English. I am genuinely shocked that this is advertised as a 4-star property. We had no water for over 24 hours, and very little effort was made to resolve this issue. We were a group of four families with six children under the age of five imagine the struggle with no water to wash or clean. All payments were made upfront, so they refused any refund. This hotel completely ruined our trip to Munnar. If youre reading this review, I sincerely hope you choose a different venue for your stay.

5/5 Wonderful Stay at Spice Jungle Resort! I had a truly relaxing and memorable stay at Spice Jungle Resort. The property is surrounded by lush greenery, giving it a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the facilities needed for a pleasant stay. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout, always ready to assist with a smile. The food was delicious, especially the local dishes, and the dining area had a great ambience. The resort also offers beautiful views, a calm environment, and plenty of space to unwind. Whether youre looking for a family getaway or a quiet break, Spice Jungle Resort is a perfect choice. Highly recommended!

Spice Jungle Resort, Munnar offers a mixed experience. The bed mattress was clean and comfortable, the food was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They even assisted with moving the car due to the difficult terrain. The resort also arranges a bonfire with music in the evening, which some guests may enjoy. However, there were several drawbacks. Only one towel was provided for three people and it was worn out. The extra bed came with a blanket that was too thin for Munnars cold climate. The bathroom had an unpleasant smell and the liquid soap provided was watery. There was no electric kettle in the room, which is quite inconvenient in such a cold location. The approach roads to the resort are extremely steep and narrow, making it very challenging for guests driving their own vehicles. Additionally, the music during the bonfire was very loud and disturbing for those who prefer to sleep early. Overall, while the staff and food were good, improvements are needed in room amenities, cleanliness, noise control, and accessibility.

We reserved a Super Deluxe room on 11/12/2025 and a Deluxe room on 12/12/2025, as the Super Deluxe room was not available for the second day. From the moment we entered the Super Deluxe room, we felt very disappointed. The room did not look like a Super Deluxe room at all and it was not clean. There was dust everywhere, and it seemed like even the balcony was not swept, as it was completely dusty. According to their profile, indoor games are available, but we did not see any such facility. The restaurant is available, but the food quality was very poor. On 11/12/2025, we ordered chicken noodles and chicken fried rice, both priced at 190 each. Unfortunately, both dishes were an utter flop, not tasty, and not worth the money. They provided complimentary breakfast for two, which was just okayneither bad nor good. It was average and did not stand out in terms of taste or variety. There is also a swimming pool, but it was clearly not cleaned. The water colour had turned dirty, which made it unusable. Additionally, there was no electric kettle in the Deluxe room. Considering the cold climate, a kettle is very essential. When we asked the staff about it, they refused to provide one, which was quite disappointing. In the Deluxe room, the TV remote was not working properly. We contacted the service staff multiple times, but they came only after a long delay. They said they would provide new batteries for the remote, but those were also given only after a very long wait. In their basic facilities, they mention laundry service, free Wi-Fi, newspaper, housekeeping, free parking, room service, power backup, free LAN, and umbrella. However, we received only free Wi-Fi and free parking. The rest seemed to be mentioned only for advertisement purposes. Under general services, they list caretaker, luggage assistance, doctor on call, multilingual staff, and pool/beach towels. In reality, only pool towels were provided, and they looked very old and overused. There was no luggage assistance; we had to carry our luggage to the room ourselves. Regarding room amenities, the geyser/water heater was available. A balcony was present only in the Super Deluxe room, but it was not cleaned and full of dust. Toiletries (soap and shampoo) were provided only after we asked. There was no living area, minibar, or dining area. A work desk was available. About the dental kit, they said it was not available, even though it is mentioned in their profile. Overall, although there were many service staff, the quality of service was very poor. The staff appeared lazy, unresponsive, and careless, and most issues were addressed only after repeated follow-ups. The behaviour of the staff was also not good, and they did not seem professional or helpful. The overall service experience was unsatisfactory. On the checkout day (13/12/2025), the checkout time is 11:00 AM. We reached the reception at 11:05 AM. Since the road from the rooms to the main road is not good, the resort provides a jeep service. Our car was parked near the main road, but on checkout day, we had to wait nearly 50 minutes for the jeep to drop us to our car, which was extremely inconvenient. Overall, many amenities listed in their profile are not actually available, and the services do not match what is advertised. This stay did not meet our expectations at all, and the experience was highly disappointing. The attached photos show the actual condition of the Super Deluxe room that was provided to us.
