Very poor service from this homestay. There was no hot water and even basic amenities were missing. The room had a lot of mosquitoes, and no mosquito repellent was provided. At night, a bachelor group was drinking on the premises, which did not feel safe or appropriate for familiesespecially since the owner had mentioned that only families were staying in other rooms. Overall, not recommended for families.

We have stayed here ,I would to given them 5 rating overall * It's at affordable cost * They are so welcoming * Amenities are good * It's easy to commute * No hot water Rest everything was fine , would like to comeback again ....

Location is very good, you can enjoy the view of houseboats from balcony. Manager is very friendly. Staffs are good and helpful in nature. The experience would have been even satisfying if they would have arranged a house keeping staff for changing linens and cleaning rooms. However I got huge corporation and helpful hands from the staff in regards to my my aged father.

Rain Tree is near YMCA junction in Alappuzha, near the city centre. Boat Jetty can be reached in 10 minutes by walk. Railway station is a short ride by an autorickshaw. There are good restaurants in the area. The rooms are spacious, clean and air-conditioned. The road can be noisy at night. Rooms at the back may be a better alternative. Rooms on the first floor have a common area with balcony. Wi-fi worked well. The breakfast is delicious. The host is helpful with travel arrangements as well as boat cruises on the backwaters of Alappuzha.

Rain tree which is calm and quite place to stay which is in The centre of alappuzha the YMCA jn. The home stay has a verygood ambiance and the owners are verygood in service and maintaining good quality services for the guest. The manager is quiet a funny and very friendly guy. If any need to stay in alappuzha town with homely experience with low budget I can ensure u will be happy with RAIN TREE
