By far the best stay we ever had in India. Starting with the rooms, they couldn't be any cleaner and more comfortable. The hosting family was warm-hearted, helpful and kind from the very first minute. They want to help you getting the best out of your stay in Munnar region and even arrange affordable drivers for you to discover the touristic places. The food that was served was more than delicious. During our stay we even had a medical emergency and the family supported and cared for us as we were family. We really fell in love with the whole family and we can just encourage you to stay at their place as well. We for sure plan to come back one day!

We spent three nights at Mangalapillil homestay. Jessy and her parents run the place. We had the entire 2nd floor apartment with sitting area, kitchen and dining room. Each of the three bedrooms had it's own bathroom with plenty of hot water. The beds had real mattresses like in the US and with full linens. Also each room had a desk - great for laptop use. The porch was lovely and spacious. We had fun playing carrom. Jessy and her mom made us delicious and hearty breakfast which made for a great Kerala experience. There were two good restaurants nearby which we walked to - Mummy Daddy and The Fog. Very comfortable place to come to after hikes and such. Note it is 20 minutes from downtown Munnar by car.

Best of best! Extremely welcoming family. There is a bright side it being to close to Munnar (the Homestay is in Anachal, 13 km south of Munnar): you are not in that uninteresting city. Much better be in Anachal and talke a bus to Munnar if you need (20 rupees). There are two good restaurants in Anachal and a very good restaurant in a resort on the road of the Homestay, just less than 2 km down. The resort is called the Fog. Of you go to Ernakulam, the KSRTC bus stops in Anachal. Four hours, 86 rupees...

It's the best place to stay with your family. They provide facilities to cook your own food if you are interested. Good ambiance and peaceful place.

Nice place to stay. Nice place to stay and rooms are clean. But no arrangements of food . And the nearest restaurant is mummy daddys restro which used to close within 8pm and the foods are not good there. But the hosts are very professional and educated. We booked this place through Online
