I recently stayed at Home Cozy LizMerry Casa in Munnar, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I arrived, Johny, the owner, welcomed me with such warmth and hospitality that I immediately felt at home. The home stay is nestled in a peaceful and scenic location, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the beauty of Munnar. One of the highlights of my stay was Amma, who prepared the most delicious chana masala and chapatis I’ve ever tasted. Her cooking is filled with love, and every meal felt like a treat. The rooms were cozy, clean, and well-maintained, offering a perfect balance of comfort and local charm. Johny was incredibly helpful, providing great recommendations for exploring Munnar and ensuring I had everything I needed. The three of us were looking for a place in the hills where we could work (a workation), with a picturesque view, a more than decent internet connection, and provisions for three meals a day. And as luck would have it, we ended up in Lizmerrycasa that offered all of that and much more. We were moved by the hospitality of the hosts, Johnny and Lizzy. Not only were their meals delicious (both of them cook very well), but they also gave us access to their kitchen to come and prepare whatever we wanted, like snacks or coffee, which also, they happily served when requested. They took care of the laundry, the rooms were shining clean, and the furnitures in place were unobtrusive and very useful. For my own seating they kindly gave their own small desk for my laptop which was extremely useful. The rooms (we took two) opened to a balcony that faced the backyard and away from the street. That meant we never had to lay eyes on another person, just the hills, the clouds, the trees, and their pets - a parrot and a dog. ???? The internet connection was reliable and enough for three people to simultaneously work. The rooms had power backup available. Also there's plenty of parking space available. Johnny arranged for us a sight seeing on a Jeep, that toom us to 4-5 places and charged ?2,500 total. It really felt like home ???? with them. The food ???? they cooked, the fish, the chicken, the dosas, and hillarious dinner time conversations (all the while we didn't know their local language and had to articulate with hands ????), made this a very wholesome stay for us. ???? Would recommend.
