We ended up staying at Lavender after a disaster with one of our Airbnb bookings and several disappointing checks at other places late in the evening. Thankfully, landing up here turned out to be a good decision. The person at the reception was very kind and patiently showed us all the available options. Since this was just for one night, we chose the rooms located above the reception. The rooms were quite decent, looked relatively new, and were clean and hygienic. They are compact, but perfectly fine for a short stay. They also have another property a 2BHK villa located about 150 meters from the reception, tucked inside the plantation. Theres a small balcony attached to our room, which looked absolutely lovely the next morning. Surrounded by dense forest, the area was very breezy and peaceful, and we really enjoyed the fresh air. They also arranged a pot of tea in the morning, which was much appreciated. Overall, a comfortable and reassuring stay when we really needed one.

Stayed here for one night with our cousins (family group of 6). The location is beautiful with scenic tea plantation and hill views. Rooms and bathrooms were neat and clean, and the common pool was very well-maintained. The pre-ordered food was tasty, though options were limited due to the ongoing cooking gas shortage. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially Johnson chettan. Overall, a comfortable and relaxing stay. Recommended for families and small groups.

I have mixed reviews of this place. The location is exquisite - amidst greenery and tea plantations. A little far from the main town, but that's pretty much the point on a vacation. So, no issues there. The property by itself is also pretty decent. However, the rooms and maintenance is an utter disappointment. The sheet between the mattress and the bedsheet was infested with fungal dots. The rooms were damp and moist. One evening, we heard a very random animal run across the roof on the inside. On asking the caretaker if there were absolutely any kind of animals (wild or otherwise) on the property that we should be aware of, they said they had no idea But three of us heard that sound, so we know we weren't dreaming. The kitchen also doesn't offer a lot of food. The menu looks pretty decent but they only have 3-4 items available, and the same ones each time. Once is understandable, but we were there for at least 3 meals, and each time the same thing. For the price we paid, it definitely wasn't the best experience. Especially when it came to the hygiene of the place. One of the balconies was also infested with insects. So, overall, wouldn't fully recommend this place, unless either they set their prices according to the maintenance of the property, or maintain the property according to the prices they've set.

[01/06, 6:44pm] Sowmiya Rajendran: Location is little far from city and view from resort was great.. and only that was good. Facilities, food, cleanliness every other thing was pathetic..very old and damaged building ..very poor maintenance.. especially the bathroom was the worst..side walls of bathroom had lots of dirt and strains..No hot water facility even after many complaints they did not take any steps to get hot water, the kitchen had poor hygiene .. though they had a kitchen we did not prefer to eat there after seeing lots of utensils lying outdoor and dog was staying there. Not a 3 star, no luxury or great location. Rooms are spacious, hot water via geysers was always a trouble. Very in hygiene kitchen, broken cabinets, few restrooms are perfect with gas geysers that pumps hot water faster others were not as per standards that caused chaos while getting ready. Location has zero amenities no park no leisures sit outs except the veranda. No fresh feel at all. Food was extremely pathetic, except a chicken curry non was good. Even idly and chutney was a disaster. A complete waste of money. Adjacent properties are better. I dont recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a leisure stay.
