Kannur Beach House is a quiet oasis set within palm trees, overlooking an idyllic lagoon and beach. Rosi and Nazir are wonderful hosts who made us feel comfortable, relaxed and at home. The rooms in this homestay are very comfortable, beautifully decorated with sea-facing balconies. The food is divine and hugely varied, with a table full of home made Keralan dishes, that Rosi explains each breakfast and evening. Theres a small kitchen area where guests can make their own tea and coffee. Rosi and Nazir are very happy to chat and share information about the local culture and sight seeing. The yoga and art retreat hosted by Rosi and Nazir was very special and a highlight of my 2026 trip to S India.

Kannur Beach House is a quiet, hidden gem along the gorgeous western coast of southern India. The views are stunning, the guesthouse company is engaging, and the beach is gorgeously inviting. Simple comfortable rooms in an old, traditional Keralan home give this place local charm. A perfect place for reading, resting, ocean swimming, savoring time and tropical weather. The pristine, 700 m long, soft-sand, Thottada beach is a 2-minute walk away. Rosi and Nazir, who run the place, are wonderfully warm, welcoming and helpful. They host convivial group breakfasts and dinners each day, for all their guests. If you're passing along this coast, it's worth a stay-over at this unique and lovely spot.

Everything good has already been said about Rosy and Nazir and their Kannur Beach House. So I thought I keep it simple and just write two words: little paradise.... but it just doesn't work. I have to go on: we had booked for 7 nights without knowing the place and quickly added two more (if we had more time our stay would have been open end) once we were there. The location and setting of the house, garden, platforms, dining hall is so beautiful and peaceful amidst all the lavish green, river, lagoon and sea. As are the constant sounds of the waves and birds. Our room was very clean, cool, appointed with handwoven curtains and linen and the perfect view from the balcony. Couldn't have been any better. Being food lovers you can not ask for more. We were served such tasty food in an incredible variety of dishes, many of them special to the region and explained by Rosy before every meal. At the same time sitting at the table with our hosts and other guests didn't just fill our bellies, but also led to interesting and entertaining conversations, emotions and laughter. Our hosts help in booking tickets for a flight, transport, answering any questions we had was perfect and very much appreciated. What a great spot and experience to discover North Kerala. Rosy and her husband are very kind persons, helpful and always ready to accommodate things for their guests. The food, prepared on the spot with local ingredients, is great. The beach nearby is calm and very beautiful. The kids loved it. Will certainly go back to Kannur Beach House.

It was such a peaceful and wonderful experience staying at Kannur Beach House! Special highlight were the hosts Rosi & Nazir, with their support, tips and recommendations throughout our stay. With the amazing local food that was served during our time here, it really felt that we were staying with family.
