We really enjoyed the tour in a Kalappura houseboat. The boat was super luxurious (we had the boat with upperdeck & AC) and almost too big for just two of us. The food was tasty and felt like a good homecooked meal after some a bit too heavy restaurant meals. All the staff was lovely and the rooms clean and comfortable. The highlight was the morning boatride with a small boat where we could go into smaller canals. The scenery was breathtaking! The communication with Anthony was great and we managed to arrange everything really quickly. Anthony also arranged a great driver for us to the next destination, which was so nice. Would totally recommend!

Sam and I had the pleasure of staying at Kalappura HomeStay & HouseBoats for our final night in India before heading to Kochi for our flight back to the Netherlands, and it was very nice and tranquil experience. We stayed on a traditional houseboat, which made the experience feel authentic. The use of local materials gave the boat a charming, classic atmosphere. The bedrooms were equipped with air conditioning, while the common areas had fans, which created a very comfortable and pleasant environment throughout our stay. Note: there was also a minibar (fridge) available in the rooms. This was very important for us because we enjoy very cold drinks while relaxing on the sundeck. The food was good. There was a great variety of dishes, and the different types of fresh fish were really good. The staff were attentive and friendly. From the moment we arrived, we received a clear introduction. Their understanding of hospitality stood out. One other important thing was where the boat stopped for the night. Instead of docking in a busy, touristy area with loud music and many other boats, we stayed in a peaceful, quiet location. This made the experience even more relaxing and special. We would recommend Kalappura HomeStay & HouseBoats to anyone looking for a serene and memorable houseboat experience.

Jose helped us to arrange a houseboat ride during our stay in the guesthouse. We were amazed by the experience. The houseboat we were on was beautiful. The staff was super friendly. The food very tasty and the backwaters are stunning. Would recommend! 10/10

We had a wonderful houseboat experience in Alleppey and it was one of the highlights of our trip. We opted for a morning cruise for a few hours, and it was absolutely worth it. The route covered major stretches of Vembanad Lake and Punnamada Lake, giving us beautiful views of the backwaters and surrounding landscapes. The boat was clean and well maintained, which made the experience even more comfortable. The staff were courteous, and they even served us tea during the trip, which was a nice addition while enjoying the scenery.

It was an amazing experience ! Everything was perfect. The warm welcome, the kindness of the team, the delicious and generous food, the room, the super good WiFi ! I met a nice family during my stay. The boat is really nice and well maintained. We made a tour in a small boat at the sunset, so peaceful It was really a unique and exclusive journey. Thanks again !!! Stef
