For two days, a group of 17 of us stayed at Hornbill Castle. The breakfast was excellent and had a homely taste, which we really enjoyed. They also thoughtfully provided tea and coffee early in the morning between 6.30 and 7 AM. Location was also easily accessible. The rooms were comfortable and made our stay pleasant. Overall, it was a nice and satisfying experience. Highly recommended if youre looking for a place with a great breakfast. - M. James Sathyaseelan

We had a comfortable stay at this property. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained, and the toilets were hygienic. The staff and the owner were courteous and cooperative throughout our stay. Although room service was not available, the overall hospitality was satisfactory. The complimentary breakfast was average, with a limited selection of items. Parking space is available for approximately three cars and a few bikes; however, the staff made commendable efforts to arrange space for six cars and multiple bikes, which was greatly appreciated. The owner was also very helpful in providing detailed information about nearby places to visit. The only notable drawback was the absence of a power backup facility. During our stay, there was no electricity at night and the following morning, which was somewhat inconvenient, especially considering the room rent of 3,000 per night. Overall, the property offers a good stay experience, but better maintenance of basic amenities such as power backup would enhance guest satisfaction

I stayed there along with my wife and 1 year old. We booked the room from vazhachal in a low range zone and the owner helped us immensely with booking , and booking of epass for Valparai without which we couldn't travel to there. Owner contacted few places and got the epass approved for us. Rooms are for only family and clean and near rooms. Parking is just enough for 3-4 cars . Staff and owner are very friendly . Breakfast is good homely spread as buffet and plenty and tasty. We took couple of idlis for our baby as takeaway after owner suggested. The view from the veranda is of tes estate. Overall enjoyed the stay and support from the staff.

We had a wonderful stay at Hornbill castle. The Staffs were very kind and friendly, especially Mr.Philip was very helpful whenever we need anything. The rooms were neat & clean, well-maintained. Mr. Jebaraj, the owner was a great host who arranged a Family suite for our family of 6 which we booked in the last min. Enjoyed our trip! Highly recommended if you are planning a trip to Valparai!

We had a wonderful family stay at Hornbill Castle. This is conveniently located right opposite the Botanical Garden and close to the Valparai entry point. We booked a premium room for the three of us (me, my husband, and our 10-year-old daughter). The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, well-maintained. The blankets and towels provided are very neat and clean. The place is super comfortable and gave us peaceful, noise-free sleep every night. No disturbances at all. We had great conversations and quality family time. My daughter loves reading books, and the quiet, serene atmosphere suited her perfectly. Complimentary breakfast was tasty and satisfying. They change the menu every day without compromising in the taste and quality. The hospitality was outstanding. Phillips took great care of us, and we even met the courteous owner, Mr. Jebaraj. Everyone was so welcoming. What I liked most is they don't allow everyone. They choose their guests here. Only for families and not for bachelor groups. That could be the answer for how they are maintaining with clean and tidy. Noiseless environment. Highly recommend this place for families looking for a cozy, peaceful stay in Valparai. We loved it!
