Great alternative to Slide Rock state park (probably better). The trail down to the creek has many boulders and rocks in between. Could be somewhat challenging if you dont have the right shoes or knee strength but nothing intense. Once you reach the creek its bliss and there are plenty of rocks to sit and relax and also take a dip in the water. Absolutely recommended!!

What a beautiful place! It was worth the trip and the time to hike down and take a quick dip in the creek and hang out in the mini waterfalls

We got lucky. This place was fairly empty when we arrived. Great swimming spot, cold water. Lots of teens jumping from the cliffs! Visited in April, $5 to park.

I went on a day trip with my friends and the place is beautiful!! Seems misleading because we read it was extremely family friendly and an easy 5 minute walk. It DEFINITELY isnt a walk. I ended up falling on rock because I didnt bring the right shoes and consequently injured my knee. (Partly my fault I know.) If you are not experienced walking on rocks/dont have appropriate shoes, I wouldnt recommend going. It is literally nothing but rocks the whole way down/even in the water. Definitely need some kind of hiking/water shoes. Bring towels or something to lay on because Im not kidding when I say its nothing but rocks. It is very beautiful once you get down though! I probably wouldnt go again.

TL;DR: Grasshopper Point near Sedona is a peaceful, shaded spot with easy hiking, creek views, and fewer crowds. A hidden gem for relaxation and scenic beauty. Grasshopper Point was a delightful find just outside of Sedona. Frustrated with the busyness in town, I stumbled upon this peaceful spot and couldnt have been happier. The short, easy hike was lovely, mostly shaded even midday, and followed a tranquil creek with small waterfalls and serene vibes. The area wasnt crowded, with just a few cars in the parking lot. There are pit toilets, a picnic table near the creek, and access to the right that offers some fantastic views of the water. If youre looking for a quieter escape near Sedona, this spot is a must-visit.
