This hotel cum resort is no doubt the best place to stay in Thattekad. Not only is it good for functions of small ot big groups is also amazing option If is planning visiting Thattekad bird sanctuary as it's only 200 meters away from the gate. The owner of the hotel is an amazing person as well as staff and food. The birds in the resort will keep you occupied and kids as well as grownups will enjoy the hospitality.There are 2 mud houses which I will surely recommend to get the old school feeling. Other 12 occomodations are AC rooms . Looking forward to visiting again the next time I am here.

Budgies cottage was our accommodation for 3 days during my birding trip at thattekad. I was greeted well and welcomed with pineapple juice and then with a typical South Indian lunch which was quite tasty. Talking of rooms, they were quite spacious with basic amenities and clean bathrooms. The towels provided were not good and were torn from many places. The food menu was repeated for 2 days which I felt was something that needs to be improved and that's why I deducted one star. On the final day during breakfast they did not even have milk to prepare tea. The service was prompt and the staff was supportive.

This resort is located near Thattekad Bird Sanctuary. It's just beside the highway so easily accessible for any type of vehicle and has enough space for parking too. The cottages are located in a sloppy landscape which gives a nice ambiance to the property. Families and kids can have many entertainments like Horse Riding, Indoor games, Swimming pool activities etc. Kids have play areas so parents can be relaxed aside As we were a group of people we really enjoyed the one day stay. The food was really good and they served a complimentary Breakfast & dinner with the stay.

Frequent power cuts ,we got a mud house against our booking It was completely different from the photo.Room full of webs in hangers and sealing.mosquito net had dust .condition of the door was very pathetic even closing was a difficult task.wifi is just for name sake.No entertaining video audio arrangements. We had very worst experience Not recommended

One of the worst set up I ever visited. Unhygienic room. Cottage premises is not maintained properly.Unprofessional staff. Wifi was not there until we asked multiple times to fix it. They have provide only old towels and we had to asked them for brush and toothpaste. Not even suggested for family. Horrible experience.
