I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is unbeatable, it is a bit far from Munnar town, but the drive is worth it. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect during my stay. The rooms were decent—clean and comfortable, though not overly luxurious. The facilities were very good, offering everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The food was decent. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Worst Resort Stay - Don’t Waste Your Money! I had a truly awful experience at this resort. To start with, there was no WiFi provided in the room, which in this day and age is unacceptable, especially when they claim to offer all modern amenities. On top of that, the room had a broken window, which let in cold air and noise, making it impossible to relax. The room itself was in horrible condition—dirty, unhygienic, and poorly maintained and a strange smell lingered in the air. The washroom was even worse: it didn’t have a functional door lock, which was incredibly uncomfortable and inconvenient. The final straw was the rude and unprofessional staff. They clearly didn’t care about the guests’ experience. This resort was a complete disaster from start to finish. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, even for a short stay. Look elsewhere if you want to enjoy your vacation without unnecessary stress and frustration.

Had a wonderful experience at Avondale! Our group of 11 stayed here from Jan 24th to 26th 2025 and everything was fantastic. The owner and staff were extremely cooperative and even helped us plan our days in Munnar. The property 's location is breathtaking, making the trip truly worthwhile. We especially loved the badminton court and the near by stream, which added so much fun to our stay. Highly recommend this place for a memorable gateway!

Worst staff service. Booked tent for six people, three big tents with two people each, but they gave smaller tents with only one people can stay and when asked to give bigger tents they told that this was for two people stay, I have attached photos , you can see it is only for one people only but they told it is two people tent. They think we are fools. Don't book this cottage, the owner doesn't care for his customers and the staff out right lies on your face and think you are an idiot. Stay away from this cottage if you value your money. Very disappointed with this treatment.

I had horrible experience here. There was no manager or owner whom you can contact if you have any issue. The staff were completely drunk even in the morning and when you ask anything they started misbehaving. The location is very good but the staff is worst here.
