We stayed at Allapat Home Stay and unfortunately our experience was very disappointing. The owner Raju Joseph had a very rude and unhelpful behavior from the beginning. Basic facilities were missing there was no drinking water, no glasses, no handwash, and no blanket provided in the room. The room was not properly cleaned, which made the stay uncomfortable. On top of that, they charged extra for AC, which was not clearly informed earlier. The owner also told us not to call after 10 PM, which we understood, but when we actually needed help during the stay, he was not available or supportive at all. A homestay should feel welcoming and comfortable, but unfortunately this place did not provide even the basic hospitality expected from guests. I hope they improve their service and attitude towards guests.

We checked Google reviews for rooms in Alappuzha and found Allapat Homestay. Everyone said the rooms were greatand they truly were! After checking in, we realized the location was super convenient, right near the boat jetty and KSRTC depot. Food spots were also close by. Mr. Raju Joseph, the owner, was incredibly kind and helpful. He even let us keep our bags there after checkout, which made sightseeing so much easier. Highly appreciated!
